1. Who we are

forthebaby.co.uk is run by Neil Bruce, a sole trader trading as For the Baby, 15 Rogerhill Gait, Kirkmuirhill, Lanark ML11 9XR. Email info@forthebaby.co.uk or call 07768 974436. Our shop runs on Shopify.

2. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If anything here seems to conflict with those rights, your rights win.

3. Placing an order

When you place an order, we'll email to confirm we've received it. The contract between us is made when we email to say your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error. If that happens, we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid.

You need to be 18 or over to place an order.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and are the full price you pay for the item. Delivery is free on orders of £25 or more, and £3 below that. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.

5. Delivery

We deliver within the areas set out in our Shipping policy, usually within 1–3 working days of dispatch. Items are your responsibility once they've been delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Returns and refunds

See our Refund policy. You have at least 14 days to change your mind about an online order, and we give you 30.

7. Using our products safely

Please follow the age guidance and safety information on each product page and its packaging, and always supervise your baby during play and mealtimes. Check products regularly for wear or damage and stop using anything that's damaged. Colours may look slightly different on your screen than in real life.

8. Our liability

If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses, as our products are for domestic use. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breaching your legal rights about the goods.

9. Our website and content

The text, photos and guides on this site belong to For the Baby or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking. Our blog guides are general information, not medical advice. Please speak to your health visitor, GP or pharmacist about your own baby.

10. Your information

We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it.

12. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Scots law. You can bring legal proceedings in the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
