That's the right size for a one- or two-year-old to fill, carry and tip out on their own. Anything bigger ends up too heavy with wet sand, and then it's you doing the carrying.

How big is the bucket really?
Small. It's 10cm high, 15cm wide and 10cm deep, which is sized for a toddler to fill and carry, not for building a proper castle. If you're after a big bucket for older children, this isn't it. If you want something a one-year-old can manage on their own, it is.

What age is it for?
From 1 year. Younger toddlers mostly fill and tip. The moulds come into their own once they've worked out that packing the sand in tight is the trick.

Does sand stick to silicone?
Dry sand brushes off, and wet sand rinses off under a tap or in the sea. Let it dry before folding it away and you won't find the beach in your bag next week.

Can it go in the bath?
Yes. Silicone is waterproof, and the bucket and moulds are just as good for pouring as for sandcastles.
