Only five pieces — is that enough?
For a twelve-month-old, yes. Matching one piece to one space is genuinely hard the first few times, and a puzzle that can be completed is one that gets picked up again. If your toddler is closer to two and already placing pieces confidently, our Animal Puzzle or House Shape Sorter are the better next step.

How big is it?
The board is roughly 20 x 19cm — about the size of a sheet of A5 paper and a bit. The pieces are chunky rather than thin, so they're easy to grip and too big to disappear down the side of the sofa.
