Farm Animal Wooden Nesting Dolls

Farm Animal Wooden Nesting Dolls — five farmyard friends, one inside the next

A cow, a horse, a sheep, a fox and a chick. Each wooden doll twists open to reveal the next animal down, until the chick sits on its own at the end. Made by Just Bee Kids and rated from 3 years.

🐄 Naming as they open

The fun of an animal nesting set is the reveal. Open the cow and there's a horse. Open the horse and there's a sheep. Every doll is a new name to say out loud, which turns a stacking toy into a talking one, and that's why it gets played with at an age when plain wooden dolls might not hold attention.

📏 Big, bigger, biggest

Putting five animals back in the right order means comparing sizes, over and over, until it clicks. That's early maths done with the hands rather than on paper. Lining them up in a row from cow to chick is the same idea in reverse.

🦊 A fox in the farmyard

Not every farm set has one, and it tends to become the favourite. A fox among the farm animals is also a story waiting to happen, and most children will tell it to you whether you ask or not.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Why is it rated 3+?
The chick at the end is small, so the set carries a 3+ rating, and we'd rather say so than bury it. For a baby or young toddler, our Silicone Nesting Dolls are rated from 6 months.

How big is it?
Nested together, it's about 15cm tall and 8.7cm across, and weighs 260g. It's a comfortable size for small hands to hold the biggest doll, and it's the larger of our two wooden sets — the safari set is 13.5cm.

What's the order?
Cow on the outside, then horse, sheep, fox and finally the chick.

How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth. It's painted wood, so no soaking.

Does it make a good gift?
Yes, especially for a child who's into animals. It arrives in plastic-free packaging and doesn't need anything else to go with it.

🪆 Which nesting dolls are right?

We stock four nesting sets, and the age rating is what separates them before anything else:

• Farm Animals — this one. Cow, horse, sheep, fox and chick, 15.3cm, from 3 years. The bigger of the two wooden sets, and the only one with a fox.
• Safari Animals — lion, elephant, giraffe, tiger and monkey, 13.5cm, from 3 years. Our bestseller, the brightest, and the more packable.
• Positivity Dolls — wooden, from 3 years, with an uplifting slogan on each. The one for a child who likes being read to as much as sorting.
• Silicone Nesting Dolls — four soft pastel dolls in food-grade silicone, 150g, from 6 months. The only one safe for a baby, and the only one that can be chewed.
