❓ Frequently asked questions

28 loose wooden tiles and a small child — should I be worried?
At 8cm by 4cm a domino is nowhere near small enough to be a choking risk — think the size of a bar of chocolate rather than a small part. It's rated from 2 years with no under-threes warning on the box, which is worth knowing if there's a younger sibling crawling about.

Can a two-year-old actually play dominoes?
Not the proper game, no — that tends to arrive around four or five. What they can do straight away is the animal side: find the matching pig. That's exactly why the tiles are printed both ways, and it's the reason this set is still in use two years after you buy it.

Is it a full domino set or a simplified one?
A full one. 28 tiles, two ends per tile, double-six — the same set as any adult box of dominoes, just larger and with farm animals on the back.

How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth and don't soak it. Painted wood doesn't take kindly to sitting in water.

Is it a good gift if I don't know the child's age?
