What's the difference between this and the Farm Peg Puzzle?
Two things. The peg puzzle is easier to start with, because the pegs give little fingers something to hold. But the pieces here have no pegs, which is what lets them come off the board and be played with as farm animals in their own right — so this one keeps going after the puzzling is done.

What age is it for?
The box says 1 year and up.

Will a one-year-old manage seven pieces?
They'll manage taking them out long before they manage putting them back. Expect a few months of lifting, carrying and handing pieces to you before the matching clicks — that gap is normal and it isn't a sign the puzzle is too hard.

Can the pieces be played with away from the board?
