From 18 months. That's a little later than some board books, and sensibly so — the fun here depends on a child being able to work a slider and notice what changed.

Do the sliders come out?
Yes, that's how they move between the spreads. It's what makes the book work, but it does mean they're worth gathering up at the end of a session rather than leaving them under a cushion.

Do you need to know your colours first?
