Push Along Friends Unicorn

Push Along Friends Unicorn — a chunky wooden unicorn for babies on the move

A chunky wooden unicorn on smooth, robust wheels, about 11cm tall, sized for small hands to grab and light enough, at 200g, for a crawling baby to push along the floor. Part of the jumini Limited Collection, designed in the UK, CE and UKCA marked, and beautifully gift boxed. Suitable from 6 months.

🛞 Why a push-along at six months

Long before walking, babies start to move: rolling, pivoting on their tummies, then crawling. A small wheeled toy gives all that movement a reason. Push it and it rolls away; reach for it and they have to follow. That little chase is how coordination, reaching and early crawling get practised, without anyone setting out to teach them.

It is also a first lesson in cause and effect — my push makes it move — and later, once your baby is sitting and then standing, the same toy becomes something to drive along the sofa and the coffee table.

🦄 The pastel one

The unicorn comes from the jumini Limited Collection, in soft pastel tones rather than the brighter colours of the other animals. It is the gentlest-looking of the friends, and because it is a limited line, it may not be around for long.

⚠️ Worth knowing before you buy

• It is a push-along, not a pull-along. There is no cord — it is pushed by hand. For a toy to pull behind first steps, see the Pull Along Rainbow and Cloud.
• Painted wood is wipe-clean only. A damp cloth, never a soak or the dishwasher.
• Check the wheels now and then. As with any wheeled toy, stop using it if a wheel becomes loose.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Is six months too young for a push-along?
No — this is made for the stage before walking. Babies push it, chase it and grab it while they are rolling and crawling, and keep playing with it once they are up and cruising.

Does it have a cord?
No. It is pushed by hand, so there is no cord to worry about.

How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth. Painted wood should not be soaked.

Does it make a good gift?
Yes — it arrives gift boxed, and it is a lovely present for a baby shower or a first Christmas.

🐾 Which push-along friend?

This one first, then the rest of the family. The animal friends are all about 11cm tall and 200g; what changes is the character:

• Unicorn — this one. 6 months+, jumini Limited Collection.
• Fox — 6 months+, jumini Woodland Collection.
• Brachiosaurus — 6 months+, jumini Dino Collection.
• Stegosaurus — 6 months+, jumini Dino Collection.
• Duck — 6 months+, jumini Farm Collection.
• Elephant — 6 months+, jumini Safari Collection.
• Mini Push Along Friends — 1 year+, a sun, a cloud and a rainbow — three small push-alongs in one box.
• Pull Along Rainbow and Cloud — 1 year+, a pull-along on a cord for first walkers, with a cloud that unclips.
