Collection: Jumini Toys

Wooden and silicone toys in soft pastels, for every stage from birth to toddler

Jumini is one of the ranges we're asked about most, and it's easy to see why: warm wood, food-grade silicone and a muted pastel palette that looks like it belongs in your living room rather than shouting at you from the corner of it. The range is broad enough to follow a child from their first weeks through to confident toddling, so what follows is a guide to which part of it you're probably looking for.

🧩 Puzzles and first problem-solving

The biggest slice of the range. Chunky peg puzzles for the earliest attempts — Farm and Traffic — then raised animal puzzles in giraffe, lion and woodland frog, and lacing games for when fingers get nimble enough to thread. See them alongside the rest of our puzzles.

🚜 Push-alongs for wobbly first steps

A dozen of them, from the palm-sized Mini Push-Along Friends to chunkier vehicles — digger, fire engine, tipper truck, racing car — plus animal friends including a fox, an elephant, a unicorn and two dinosaurs. Browse all our push and pull toys.

🎶 First instruments, in the right order

This is the part of the range we think is cleverest, because it's built as a ladder rather than a set. The wooden maraca is suggested from five months, when a baby can shake but not much else. The tambourine follows at ten months. The clapper and the seven-key xylophone arrive at twelve, once there's enough coordination to aim. Start one at a time rather than all at once — and see the full musical toys range.

🌈 Stackers, sorters and blocks

Wobbly stackers in cloud and bunny, a stacking train, a tower racer, a pounding box, a number block set, and soft silicone nesting dolls suitable from six months. More in stacking toys.

🧸 Soft toys and comforters

The pastel rag doll and her brighter sister, a organic cotton scruffy dog from birth, Mini Gerry Giraffe, and cuddle-cloth comforters in lamb and mouse. See all our baby comforters.

🚜 Farm and small-world play

For when play starts having a story: a chicken coop, a pig sty, pop-up farm and safari animals, a mini car set and a wooden hook-a-duck game.

Which age are you buying for?

  • From birth — the organic cotton scruffy dog, the lamb music ball and the elephant pull musical. See everything suitable from birth.
  • Around six months — silicone teething toys, bath squirters, nesting dolls and the first peg puzzles. See toys from six months.
  • Twelve months and beyond — push-alongs, stackers, the xylophone and the clapper. See toys from twelve months.

Wood, silicone, and not much else

What ties the range together is restraint. Wooden pieces are smooth-sanded and finished in water-based colour; the silicone pieces are food-grade, soft enough for sore gums and easy to wipe down. No batteries in most of it, no flashing lights, no noise that a parent will grow to dread. If that's the kind of toy cupboard you're after, the wider wooden toys range is worth a look too.
