🌙 The bedtime one

There is a particular ten minutes in every bedtime routine where you would give quite a lot for something calming to happen. This elephant is that something. No batteries, no volume that makes you jump — just a familiar, slow melody. Play it at the same point every evening and it soon becomes a wind-down cue of its own.

The beech ring is a lovely contrast against the soft cotton — something firm to grip and mouth, attached to something soft to hold — and later it becomes a game: pull it, hear the tune, wait, pull it again.
