Shape Matching Puzzle β four soft shapes and a first puzzle from six months
Four classic shapes β a square, a triangle, a circle and a star β in soft, food-grade silicone, sitting in a wooden board. Soft pastel tones, 150g, and suitable from 6 months. It is the youngest puzzle we sell: soft enough to chew, simple enough to start with.
𧩠Why a silicone puzzle at six months
At six months every new object goes straight in the mouth, and a hard wooden puzzle piece is not ideal for that. Silicone shapes are soft, flexible and safe to chew, so a baby can mouth, squeeze and drop them while they get to know them.
Four pieces is the right number to begin with. First the shapes come out; later, usually well into the second year, a baby starts trying to put them back. Fitting a star into a star-shaped space is a proper moment, and here there are only four to master.
β οΈ Worth knowing before you buy
- Four pieces, not many. That is deliberate for a first puzzle. For more shapes and a bigger challenge from 18 months, our Silicone Shape Puzzle has twelve.
- Silicone picks up fluff. A rinse sorts the shapes; wipe the wooden board with a damp cloth.
