❓ Frequently asked questions

Can I buy the pieces separately?
Not these ones — Bruce the Moose comes as part of this box rather than on his own. If you'd rather buy a comforter, rattle or book individually, our jungle range is the one that's sold piece by piece: Tim the Tiger comforter, squeaker rattle and soft baby book. The forest book is the same book as the jungle one in everything but its theme, so if it is only the book you want, that is the one to buy.

How do I wash it?
Three answers. The comforter goes in the machine at 30°C on a delicate cycle, which is just as well, since it's the piece that'll go everywhere. The book hand washes in cold water, no bleach, air dry. The rattle is wipe-clean only. Don't put the book or the rattle in the machine.

Is it really suitable from birth?
Yes, all three pieces are. A newborn will mostly look and be held; the squeaking, the ribbons and the teething rings come into their own from around three months and carry on through teething.

Can the comforter go in the cot?
Not for unsupervised sleep. Safer sleep guidance is to keep the cot clear, so use him for cuddles, feeds and pram time while you're there, and take him out when your little one is settled on their own.

Does anything need batteries?
No. The only sounds are the rattle's squeak and the squeaker in the book's first page, and both only when squeezed.

Which theme should I choose?
The contents are the same three pieces in each, so it comes down to the character and the colours. Forest is the most muted, Ocean the brightest and Jungle the boldest — there's a proper comparison below.

Is it a good baby shower gift?
It's close to ideal: boxed, suitable from birth, neutral enough for a baby whose name you don't know yet, and it doesn't ask the parents to find room for anything large.
