❓ Frequently asked questions

Can I buy the pieces separately?
Not these ones — Martin the Penguin comes as part of this box rather than on his own. If you'd rather buy a comforter, rattle or book individually, our jungle range is the one that's sold piece by piece: Tim the Tiger comforter, squeaker rattle and soft baby book. The ocean book is the same book as the jungle one in everything but its theme, so if it is only the book you want, that is the one to buy.

How do I wash it?
Three answers. The comforter goes in the machine at 30°C on a delicate cycle — handy, as it's the piece that ends up everywhere. The book hand washes in cold water, no bleach, air dry. The rattle is wipe-clean only. Neither the book nor the rattle should go in the machine.

Is it really suitable from birth?
Yes, all three pieces are. Early on it's looking and being held; the squeaking, ribbons and teething rings take over from around three months.

Can the comforter go in the cot?
Not for unsupervised sleep. Safer sleep guidance is to keep the cot clear, so Martin is for cuddles, feeds and pram time while you're there, and comes out once your little one is settled alone.

Does anything need batteries?
No. The only sounds are the rattle's squeak and the squeaker in the book's first page, and both only when squeezed.

Which theme should I choose?
The contents are the same three pieces in each, so it comes down to the character and the colours. Ocean is bright and blue-led, Forest the most muted and Jungle the boldest — there's a proper comparison below.

Is it a good baby shower gift?
