❓ Frequently asked questions

Can I buy the pieces separately instead?
You can — we sell all three on their own. The box makes sense if you want one substantial gift that's ready to hand over; buying singly makes more sense if the household already has Tim the comforter, which is the piece most likely to be a duplicate. We'd rather tell you that than have it arrive twice.

Is it really suitable from birth?
Yes, all three pieces are. A newborn will mostly look and be held; the squeaking, the ribbons and the teething rings come into their own from around three months and carry on through teething.

How do I wash it?
The comforter goes in the machine at 30°C on a delicate cycle — the piece that'll need it most, being the one that goes everywhere. The rattle and the book are wipe-clean or gentle hand wash, then air dry. Don't put those two in the machine.

Are the teething rings safe to chew?
They're made for it — that's why they're on there. As with any fabric toy, check the stitching and the ring attachments now and then.

Does it need batteries?
No. The only sound is the squeaker, and that only happens when it's squeezed.

Is it a good baby shower gift?
It's close to ideal: boxed, neutral enough for either a boy or a girl, suitable from birth, and it doesn't need the parents to have room for anything large.

What if I'd rather a different theme?
We do the same idea in Forest and Ocean. Jungle is the brightest of the three; the forest set is more muted, which some people prefer for a nursery.
