Most bead mazes sit still and take whatever treatment they're given. This one is on a rocker, so pushing a bead also sets the toy moving — and that changes the game. How big is it, really?
21cm wide and 22cm tall — about the height of a cereal bowl stack, and light at roughly 450g. It's a first bead maze for one pair of hands, not the large multi-wire kind built for a playgroup. Worth knowing before it arrives.

Can the beads come off?
No. They're fixed on the wire, which is the whole point of a bead maze — nothing to lose under the sofa and nothing small to worry about.

Does the rocking make it tip over?
The base is curved by design, so it rocks and settles rather than topples. On a table it's worth an eye, as with anything a toddler is pushing at from one side.

What age is it for?
From 12 months. At a year it's pushing beads and watching them move; by two they're sorting them by colour and telling you about it. It holds interest to around three.

Is the paint safe if it's chewed?
Yes — non-toxic, child-safe paint on wood, UKCA and CE certified. Mouthing is normal at this age.

How do I clean it?
A damp cloth only, and no detergents. Painted wood shouldn't be soaked, and it certainly shouldn't go in the dishwasher.
