Silicone Baby Plates for Weaning

Five plates, one decision — here's how to make it

They all do the same core job: three sections, a suction base, food-grade platinum silicone, tested to EN 14372:2004, dishwasher and microwave safe, suitable from six months. What actually separates them is size, section layout and weight — so pick by your high chair tray and your little one's appetite, rather than by the shape.

Two layouts

Four of our plates hold around 650ml in total, split two ways. One main, one side, one taster — 300ml, 200ml and 150ml — suits a baby trying something new alongside a familiar favourite. Two proper sides — 250ml, 200ml and 200ml — suits a little one eating three real components.

Start here

  • Narrow tray, or a baby who tests the furniture? The hamburger plate — our heaviest and most compact, so it grips hardest in the least space.
  • Lots of finger food? The squirrel plate at 25cm wide, for laying food out rather than heaping it.
  • Same layout, smaller plate? The elephant plate — the squirrel's sections in a 19cm square, and the lightest of our full-size plates.
  • Three real components on the plate? The dinosaur plate, with two proper sides and the room to lay them out.
  • Nursery, travel or a second plate? The 3-compartment plate at 153g, comfortably our most portable.

A note on suction

All five grip best on smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, sealed high chair trays, laminate and plastic. On bare or textured wood they'll still hold, just not as firmly. And no suction plate on the market survives a toddler who has worked out the edge-lift trick, usually somewhere around eighteen months.
