Weight matters more than it sounds like it should. At 286g this is the heaviest plate in our range packed into the smallest footprint, and that density is exactly what keeps it planted when a nine-month-old decides to find out whether the plate is load-bearing. It's nearly twice the weight of our lightest weaning plate.

📐 18 x 19cm — built for a modest tray

A full 650ml across three sections — 250ml, 200ml and 200ml — in less tray space than any other plate we stock. Plenty of high chairs have smaller trays than the marketing photos suggest, and this is the one that fits on them without hanging over the edge.

🍔 The shape that sounds like a gimmick

A hamburger-shaped plate that keeps food in three separate sections? We know how it sounds. But the sections are the bun, so the novelty and the practicality turn out to be the same thing — and it's consistently one of our most talked-about weaning products.

⚠️ Worth knowing before you buy

• The suction base grips best on smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, sealed high chair trays, laminate and plastic. On bare or textured wood it will still hold, just not as firmly, so it's worth knowing what your high chair is made of.
• 286g is a virtue on the tray and a consideration in a bag. If you want a plate for days out, our 3-compartment plate does the same job at 153g.
• The sections are open at the top, as on all our plates. Very runny food will find its way between compartments if the plate is tilted.

Questions we get asked

Will it stick to my high chair tray?
If the tray is smooth and non-porous, yes — and this is the best gripper of our five plates. Wipe both the tray and the suction ring dry first; a wet seal is a weak seal.

Is it dishwasher safe with that shape?
Yes. The sections are open and shallow enough to drain properly, so nothing pools in the bun.
