Will he survive being washed?
Yes, with one step people forget. Warm wash on a delicate setting, no tumble dryer and no wringing — then reshape him while he's still damp and leave him to dry naturally. Crochet keeps the shape it dries in, so that's the step that matters.

How big is he compared with the fruit rattles?
Noticeably bigger — 17cm against the peapod and cherries at 14cm, and rounder with it. He's a small soft toy that rattles rather than a rattle you'd hand a two-week-old.
